Premier Waste Recycling Ltd (“PWR”) is part of the Martin Group of Companies (Est. 1976) and provides the full spectrum of waste and recycling collection services, confidential shredding and total waste management for organisations across the North East and Yorkshire, including businesses, hospitals, universities and councils.

In order to service a major new contract Premier Waste Recycling Ltd are recruiting additional LGV Class 2 Drivers for the following vehicles:

Class 2 Hookloader vehicle
Class 2 RCV vehicle

The positions will be based at Parkside Lane, Leeds, however, drivers may be required to work from other company sites.

Duties will include:

• Safely drive/operate a Class 2 vehicle. The work involves regular manual handling
• Transporting recyclable and waste materials to various locations.
• Carry out duties in accordance with Company rules, including Health and Safety, at all times.

Applicants should ideally have:

o Experience of waste operations and knowledge of route/area.
o At least 2 years driving experience.
o Hold a full driver CPC qualification and digital tacho card.
o Have no more than 6 points on licence.

Applicants must be reliable, trustworthy with good communication skills and a polite and professional manner.

Involving working Weekends and Bank Holidays on a four weekly rota system with a flexible approach to overtime to meet customer requirements

The benefits include:

• 40 hour contracted basic week £10.15 ph/substantial driver bonus scheme
• 22 holidays per year, or pro rata.
• Statutory sick pay
• Pension scheme available.

Premier Waste Recycling Limited (PWR) is part of the Martin Group of companies who have been established for over 40 years and have an enviable reputation for producing outstanding financial returns whilst achieving renown client satisfaction. The Group turnover of £130 million per annum is extremely well geared. PWR were acquired by the Martin Group in 2011 and have progressed from strength to strength over the past 8 years, this is an excellent opportunity for a quality manager to further build and expand this work.

We require a General Manager (Director designate).

As the General Manager you will add value by identifying new sustainable opportunities and have the vision and expertise to profit from this expansion whilst maintaining a tight grip on the existing operation and cost base.

You will be leading a team of 30 staff and 48 operatives across two sites, in a profitable £11 million pound a year turnover business with a strong balance sheet.
Main responsibilities will be, but are not limited to: –

Managing the company P & L in a hands on and proactive role.
Developing the existing team through personal development and recruiting new quality team members.
Expand the current client base.
Ensuring the health and safety of our employees and our clients.
Achieving optimisation of the company’s facilities, equipment, vehicles and personnel.

Ideal candidate:-

A strong leader with proven drive, ambition and enthusiasm to develop the company further.
Have excellent commercial and financial acumen.
Have a totally committed work ethic towards the values of the board of Directors.
Have a good knowledge of financial statements and instruments.
Have a strong desire to develop the team to achieve consistent and improving profits in the future.
Be able to build new client relationships and strengthen existing ones.

In return for the above we are offering:-

Salary – £80,000 per annum
Performance related bonus paid annually
25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
